We’re excited to share a new video demonstrating how cutting-edge technologies developed within the DigiMedFor project are being used to ensure full traceability in the forest-wood supply chain.
At the core of this innovation is the Traceability Portal — a digital hub that collects and stores all data related to individual forest plots, linking each tree and log to its origin. With RFID tagging, each element can be tracked across the supply chain, from forest to final destination.
Using a mobile app, operators register tagged trees and logs, collecting important data that is uploaded directly to the platform. The system also includes a qualitative wood assessment, using portable tools to measure properties like stiffness.
